Bad Petstore Experience

Went to the local pet store this weekend and was shocked at how poorly kept the tanks are. This is a major chain and the store has only been open for a month or so. Several of the tanks had dead fish and there were many sick ones too. There was no one working in the fish department either as the chain is too cheap to hire anyone to just watch after the tanks.

Sounds awful. We have a few stores around here like that.
I went there once, and never went back.

That seems to be the case at most of the stores around here. In fact its so bad that I goind a breeder and I drive an hour to buy all my angels I'm too scared that if I get fish from one of the stores from around here they will get all my other fish sick....or they won't make it long enough to get in my tanks.

Yeah, I had a bad experience at the petstore, too. The transgender that works there tried to pick me up. I'm not kidding.

Unfortunately a lot of pet stores are like you described. Its basically a lack of caring about their pets. If they don't care about their fish why would they care about any of their other pets? I went to one pet store that had a puppy with a huge gash in its head and they hadn't treated it at all! Needless to say, these kinds of stores are just in it for the profits. I would boycott the store and go to one that cares more about their animals.
