Bacterial Infection?

I posted a problem I had about a week ago with one of my fish.

Now I have a similar problem with the green barb. He lays lopsided at the bottom for the most part. He can swim somewhat, just not for long. He mostly just lays at the bottom. He also isn't eating, but he doesn't have the damage the tiger barb had. He's by himself at the moment.

I noticed today my other fish in the main tank (two pink gouramis and a tiger barb) have long, white, stringy feces. This indicates an internal infection, correct? I have some internal anti-bacterial medication and some medicated food, but I don't want to go dumping things into my tank on a whim. I would like to know exactly what the problem and solution are.

The fish in the main tank aren't showing the same symptoms as the isolated green barb; the lethargy and lack of appetite. Perhaps the infection(s) aren't as far along in them?

Any help would be greatly appreciated by myself and my sick fishies. And please forgive my apparent newbness.

Long stringy white poo can indicate a few things, what do you feed the fish, is the anus red and inflamed and enlarged, can you see anything prutruding from the anus, are the skinny or bloated.

I feed them tropical fish crisps as opposed to flakes and freeze dried bloodworms from time to time. The two that died (lost the green barb sometime this morning, unfortunately) did look a bit large in the stomach area.

To many dried foods, you needs to introduce some frozen foods and veg into there diet.

Frozen food like, bloodworms, daphnia, brimestrimp etc, veg peas, cucumba, cabbage, broc, etc.
