Background

I currently have 1 of those aquarium backgrounds that are supplied with the tank, you know the phote typey 1's. well what i plan to do is to paint 1 side of it black, and then use that as my background, is this feasable and what would be the best way to do it?

just paint the back of the tank (outside not inside)
