Background & Substrate Colors

So I'm using flourite black sand as the substrate in my aquarium and I'm looking to add a background to the glass. The aquarium is filled mainly with driftwood and a few flat stones. What color background would you guys use? Do you think a black background with black substrate would look the most natural? Thanks

I would, personally, use a light coloured backround with that type of sustrate, possibly even a sand coloured one.

black background gets a thumbs up from me if you have a black substrate. although some of the standard image backgrounds are ok, i have one on my 5 foot tank which i think looks nice enough.

I bought black sand for mine, and am just waiting for the background to arrive before I can get my new tank all set up. I ordered a Juwel 3D background in black for mine, love the look against the bright colours of the fish
