well decided I couldn't face moving my Trigon so sold it off and have gone and treated myself to a Rio 240 today instead... decisions decisions on the fish, always kept discus and angels and fancy something different.

Have noticed a very slight bowing at the front where the cross-member is, only a couple of mm out - is this normal on these tanks? It has a plastic cross-member, should I maybe drop in a couple of additional glass cross members or should I stop worrying that my new carpet is going to get a soaking!

Hi part-timer :)

It's good to see you back on the forum! :hi:

I'm going to move your thread over to the Hardware and DIY section. I think it will have a better chance of being seen by folks who know about this kind of thing. :D

hi part timer. i have a rio 180 and its bowing out at the front slightly too. i've also heard of several other reports of this happening in juwel tanks. i dont know if the heat from the light causes the platics in the cross member to expand slightly maybe? i dont know whether it causes any harm or not tho
