Hi,

I'm creating a background for my 4ft tank currently, and I'm using aquarium silicon to glue a dark gravel to it on some flexi glass which I will to put INSIDE the tank.
The question is how long would I have to leave it to dry before all the toxins have gone from the silicon? it says 48 hrs on the packet I'm not sure if I fully trust this.

Also should I rinse the backing with tank water fully once i've let it dry just to make sure nothing dodgy is left. last thing I want to do is poison my fish.

Cheers

wait an extra day and wash it then... should be fine.

FYI I did the gravel with silicon thing too. Didn't work well. The gravel falls out and is a pain to secure to the glass. Now the larger river rocks are still mostly there after 2 years, and that looks cool.

Cheers for that, any tips for securing the gravel? what I'm doing is glueing it with the silicon and then using a plastic sheet on top of the gravel walking, or stamping should i say lol :D to try and bond the gravel to the flexi glass, most of it holds some doesn't!!!
