I was just away this past week so that meant my babies had to be babysat. I was a bit worried how they would be but apart from entrusting them with someone I have complete confidence in, I also typed and printed out directions (detailed) of what to do. I also made a little chart of days that there needed to be water changes with a little checklist.

But basically what I did was write down the process for feeding (how many pellets/flakes, how many times a day, what to do with un-eaten food), doing 50% WC (wash hands, take water out, add in drops, assure temp same as in bowl etc, etc.) and precautions like ideal temperature (I even let them borrow my heater just for my fishies!), washing hands, what to look out for (not eating, being sluggish), and all that fun stuff. Well needless to say my babies have been making bubblenests and seem to be eating like piggies and swimming around happily!

So if you ever need someone to babysit your fish, i recommend you make a checklist and detailed directions
