My mollie has had her babies a few days ago. I was too late in getting her out of the tank and I saw a couple of babies hiding the other night. How long until they come out without being eaten? I don't think that very many will survive.

Provide some floating plants and you may have a chnce of them living!!

Hi,

First congrats on the baby's..they are just so neat..

The more hiding places the better the chances..they will hide in the smallest places. I always feed my baby's liguid fry food ( that way the bigger fish don't mess with it too much..) 3 -4 times a day.

There is a chance you could loose some to your intake tube so you may want to put a peice if clean nylon pantyhose around it( secured with a rubber band, not the best looking but only temporary)

When they are too big fit in the other's mouths will they be safe..about 1 inch or so.
