Awwwww. That brings back such memories! Mine surprised me, too. I found the little tykes swimming in the bottom of the filter (whisper type). I was cleaning the tank!! OMG!!! Couldn't have lost many, though, because "we" ended up with 26 grown fishies. Took them to the lfs a few weeks ago, all but three crafty ones. That does look like the dad there with his prides and joys. They are simply amazing parents, but when the fry get a little bigger, baby brine shrimp is the hot tip. That's what mine ate for months. The parents scarf it down, but they blow little clouds of it out their gills and feed the wee ones. Truly amazing. Wait til they start getting their markings -- you'll be so proud!
