I bought some female and male guppys and mollies about a week ago and within about 3 hours a couple of the females gave birth. I was excited at first although I heard that it is very rare for them to survive expecially without good hiding places and a breeding trap. To this day I still have 1 baby guppy swimming around! Its so cute!!!!

great.what fish are in the tnak and how big is it?do you want to keep the babies?

I have:

1 x male swordtail
2 x female mollies
3 x glass catfish
13 x guppys (5 male and 8 female)

They're all in a 96 litre tank. Its annoying that the ratios of female to male aren't very good, I tried to even it out the other day but the shop assistant gave me a male guppy instead of a female (realising after it was in my tank!)

Babies are nice to have, although I'm not going to specially breed them using the required equipment yet, will try and learn more and maybe invest in another tank before I do!
