I have several different tanks which house different types of fish, so im not a complete beginner, but didnt know where to post this, so sorry if its in the wrong forum.
The tank in question houses:
Male & female Swordfish & 6 month old babies
3 female Mollies and one male
1 Fighting Fish
5 Tiger Danio's
1 male guppie & 3 females
2 Bristtle nose catfish ..male & female i think
(breeder net containing one month old Mollies)
One of my other tanks has glasscatfish in it, one was being chased about and under stress so we moved him/her into my tank for a week or so, but he/she is no longer in the tank in question.
Ok, so today i woke up went to feed the new babies and noticed a tiny little fish swimming along the side of the beeder tank. When i say tiny i mean its about 1-2 millimeters long and at the most 1 millimeter in diameter. Was able to catch it and put it in a safe place, then noticed another one at the back of the tank on the glass, also caught that one. Now i know that it isnt a guppy or a mollie but what is it?
As far as i can see they are both staying to the sides of the container i have put them in and neither is very active unless i go near them. Half of me thinks they could be bristle nose catfish because im sure i have a male & female but as i cant find any breeding info about how big the fish are when they are born i could be wrong ...any idea's?
Is it possible for the one glasscatfish to have had babies ?
The babies are so tiny its hard to see an exact shape but they have the appearance of glassfish (long thin , big eyes and clear) but they cling to the glass like bristtlenose catfish so im confused
Because im not sure what they are im not sure what to feed them on, so any replies or suggestions welcome
Thanks
Wendy
