Hi
I have a very small about 2" long skinny baby ornate bichir, I've had it for about 2 weeks. Yesterday I noticed what looks like a red ulcer on his side. It eats well, blood worms and tiny bits of muscle. I have it in a quarantine tank where it's been since I bought it. Didn't appear to have any marks when I bought it but it was very tiny. I have experienced ulcers in rainbows before and was never able to cure it. Is interpet anti internal bacteria solution safe for baby bichirs? Is there a better way to deal with it? Any help gratefully received

Can you attach a picture? Cuz it should be helpful
But for an ulcer as you say using any antibactirial is good
As for any wounds or external bacterial infection I use methylene blue
It's very effective and easy to use
But I think a salt bath should be good too but I'm no expert on that

Need pictures of the sick fish.

Ulcers in rainbowfish is often linked to Fish TB and or not enough plant matter in their diet. At least half their diet should be plant based.
