Sorg old buddy old chum. My little 8g FOWLR is lifeless. No fish, no coral, wierd low led lighting and and high in nitrate!

Give us some pointers on the dark side will ya!

I fancy having a go! :shifty:

I'll be your apprentice! 'Darth Wood'

No where did my little boy put his toy lightsabre?

Pointer 1 get rid of thAt nitrate, a few nice WC's will do.

What are you looking at starting with? Suns and chillis?
Coco worms and feather dusters will be happy in an azoox setup (obviously) so bung as many as you can in, they help mop up left overs.
A good cuc is a must as there will be fair amounts of food that will need clearing up.

You tell me what you want to try and I will give you the spiel.

There's plenty of worms, stars and feather dusters in there. No CUC as yet as my little boy caused one hell of a spike on the bioload which ended up with the tank being thrown into a mini cycle.
Once it's sorted tho i would defo be interested in sun's and chilli's.

Any chance you could give us a quick list on different coral to add in there, feeding regimes and ideal tank params?

Cheers bud!

Well your starter corals would be suns and chillis and that's it untill you have some experience. Gorgs, sponges, dendronepthyea etc are all stunning but if you can't keep a chilli alive you will be wasting money.
Your params will need to be the same as a usual reef set up. Feeding would be bi-daily meaty feeds (cyclops, artemia etc) for the suns if they are orange/yellow, daily for blacks. Chillis will require a dose of filter feeding food (phyto, marine snow, rotifers etc) every few days, just add to the water column if your not skimming or target feed if you are.

Corals arnt the only things you can have though, when I say feather dusters I mean the big ones that live on a tube, those will help alot. That's about it untill you get some azoox time under your belt, after that we can talk about basic gorgonians and some sponges.

Cheers bud!.......I'm up for it now!

Like I have said to Liam if you need any help don't hesitate but to ask, I killed alot of basic azoox because nobody was around to tell me otherwise.
