Azoo filter on a regular tank

Anyone use the azoo palm filter on a regular tank with the black molding around the top? I am wondering if it would fit over that. I am thinking of putting an azoo at either end of a divided 10 gallon.
I read that the side of a divided tank Without the filter doesn't get filtered well, so this is my solution.

That would work. Why's it divided, bettas? If it's just a community ,I'd go ahead and get a couple of Aquaclears or small Topfins, they're fairly cheap (about the same price as an azoo) and they'll turn your water over twice as much. But by the time you get those two...you could have had a Penguin 170,or a nice small submersible. OoOoOh I love filtration the more, the better!!
