right, i know basically diddly squat about axolotols, however i'm selling a juwel trigon 350l tank and a prospective buyer has asked if it's suitable for a fully grown axolotl.

so basically that's the question!

it's 350l, corner tank. the two straight sides are about 3 foot and if you measure straight across the front that's 4 foot (but the front is curved obviously)

adult axolotls grow to about 14inches long. Some hit 18inches but not many. A 3ft tank is normally fine for an adult pr. The 350ltr corner unit would be heaps :)

14 inch...18 inch in captivity! Where di you read that from may i ask? 12 inch is the average...not many get bigger than that...
350 litres is ample sapce....most people keep them in 2ft tanks :good:
Tell him about axolotl.org too, great info!

lol i am aware of axolotl.org, it is where i learnt about them to start with. had mine for a while now. starting to outgrow the tank he is in.

Axolotls can reach 15". But the chances are they won't grow much more than the 12" mark.
