Axolotl

Well Alex the Albino Axolotl is getting to be a big boy now an is eating to fit his size!
2 Cubes of bloodworm one night a week and a mixture of stuff the rest of the week... Pinkies, Whole Small Fish, Diced Larger Fish, Earthworms... All sorts!
Here's a quick snap shot of him now that he is fully settled in his new home.

It was Pinkie night last night and he loved it! If your not squeamish I'd recommend them for your Axolotl's when the get to about 7/8" long.

I think my husband would divorce me if I brought them home. They wouldn't bother me but he is already squeamish about my frogs and axolotls and can't even look in a certain drawer of the fridge where the worms are kept.

lol, I'm getting a snake and my girlfriend, who owns Alex now, has a snake so neither of us is squeamish.

lol, I'm getting a snake and my girlfriend, who owns Alex now, has a snake so neither of us is squeamish.

We were in a local petstore and one of the little Anole lizards escaped it's cage and started climbing up my leg - - I loved it, my oh so brave hubby took off down the cat aisle I'd love a snake or bearded dragon or iguana like I had growing up, but the aquatic species are the only ones he will allow - pretty much because he knows that they can't leave the water and climb up him ha.

Awww I'd love that! I love Anole's... My mum has a Beardy that hates me! Flares every time I go near him!

That's why I had to get rid of my iguana when I was a teenager....as he grew he ended up hating my mom (and she did everything for him! doted on him, bought him treats, turned our entire spare bedroom into a habitat for him....)

It wasn't a big deal at 14 inches...but at over 24 inches his tail could pack a punch! He got very possessive of me and his room around 16-18 inches...and when ever he saw her he would start whipping his tail.....so eventually he had to go.

i had a green iquana when i was younger! he was awesome when i had to get rid of him he was around 4 feet long head to tail, he would sit on my sholder like a parrot and if i walked by my sister he would whip her with his tail! he loved me but wasnt a fan of anyone else
