Axolotl

I am not familiar with a fishbox 40 - -can you post the dimensions please? a two foot long tank is OK for one adult.

http://www.petsathome.com/shop/fish-box-40cm-tank-by-interpet-(available-in-store-only)-36859 That's the link. Because I read on the Internet you can have a 40l tank for one and mines a 48l

D 38cm x h 32cm x w 41cm that's the space that water covers (not lid etc)

The tank has a height of 43cm/16in a width 39cm/15in and a length of 33cm/13in.... For an animal that could grow over 30cm/12in.... That is not a long enough tank.

The dimensions in put are of the product, not its packaging (both are on the web page)

The tank length needs to be a minimum of 60cm to be appropriate for a 30cm animal. Stock for the adult size

Is there anything similar to a axolotl that I could house?

With that tank, I would even hesitate to put aquatic frogs due to the filter housing - they could easily find their way into it an ddrown if there is no footing.

I would make that a fish tank. You can get a standard rectangular tank for an axolotl.
