Hi i have a 250l tank 122 w x 45.6 h x 45 d and i am looking for albino axolotl (prefferably if you have anything else please) to come via post. I live in South Africa (they are legal to import but not to at pet shops) in the western cape further details will be provided via email. I am willing to pay up to quite a lot so please notify me if you have eggs

This forum only has a handful of axie owners - - try caudata.org for their forsale section - you have a much better shot of finding a seller in your region on a dedicated site, but PLEASE come back and post lots and lots of pictures to this forum!!! We really need more axie owners on this forum!!!

thank you! if I manage to get I will definately post pics. I'm intending on getting 3 I will post many many pics oh by the way at what time of year do they generally lay eggs?

I think their breeding season is between December and March but that is for up here in the US where we are going into winter. In your region it would be brought on by your winter

Also, there is ONE site online I have found that is willing to ship globally. It seems very expensive but I figured it could be a last resort option for you. I personally have ordered from this site myself and the axolotls always arrive healthy and whole.

ohhh no no no thats way too expensive. overall cost for 1 axolotl would be 575$ i was willing to pay alot but thats outrageous, Im not sure if you know what it is, but we have a bengal cat which we got yesterday. converted it cost 607$ which is R5000 and i was only really willing to pay max R1000  but im sure i will find one

I would need a cites permit (i already have one but only for snakes. does it matter?) which costs 100$then a permit check, which would cost 240$ then apparently 200-300$ shipping!

wow - I had a feeling it would be alot but I figured I would at least show you since I found it. I hope you can find some in your area!

Try finding sites that source for science labs or teachers - I have found one in the states that sells them at a fairly decent price whether you are affiliated with a school or not.

Look for school supplies sites and check their inventory, they don't always show up on search engines for just axolotls.

Ok thanx will do but we are currently doing exams so must I search on the computers?

Last exam 2day !!!! YAY

thank you!!! I was NOT expecting it! Let's see how they do!

indeed :) but know that whenever you want them to breed just put them back together (they will breed like 2 days after finishing with the previous batch)

ok I got my 250 L tank setup today and i have unfortunately also decided that its too much of a hassle getting axolotls so im just going to get discus ( :( no exciting wierd things) but at least i can watch my snakes (carpet python x1 boas x 36 incl. babies getting a FREEEEEE pair of jaguar carpet pythons from my dads friend cuz he breeds them :D)

I'm sorry. I would have loved to give you some if we weren't thousands of miles apart and had all those pesky export/import regulations!
