Axolotl Care

I'm interested in getting an Axolotl, but for some reason there is very little information about on the web and on this forum.
I've read that baby Axolotl will do fine in a 5G?
What else is special about them?

What volume of the tank should be filled with water?
What do they eat?
How big do they grow?
Are they easy to care for?
What temp. should they be kept at?
Should the tank have an established filter?
Are they cool pets?
Are they very active?
Are they expensive?
How come more people don't have them?

Here there is loads of people keep axies this site will give you loads of info on them.I am curently overrun with eggs as females are laying every 3 weeks
