No question here. Just wanted to relate a story about how cool Oscars are. Yesterday I began the daunting task of moving my Albino Tiger Oscar across town to his summer home. After being brought out of his tank into a cooler. Jostled around(I tried to keep it to a minimum) and spending a couple hours in a cooler then being placed in his tank with about 70% new, treated tapwater and tons of unfiltered stuff floating around he surprised me.(This was a necessarily rushed move) The filter was running but the tank hadn't been fully filtered yet. Rather than mope at the bottom of the tank for days or weeks on end I returned three hours later to see him happy as can be swimming around and wanting food. In fact within five minutes of putting him back in his tank he was exploring and checking things out. Now thats a resilient fish. One of the most traumatic things that can happen and he is perfectly fine and happy. So far all you trying to decide what fish to get, if you have the facilities and can put in the work Oscars are definately a good choice. Anyway thats my positive comment for the day concerning Oscars. Ciao.

I'm so glad he was happy right away! I too move my tanks and fish for the summers - I always fear that something will go terribly wrong... So far I've had great luck.

I had four oscars, 2 albino tigers and 2 tigers, they moved with me from Minnesota to Georgia. They spent 3 days in a cooler and each one of them made it out just fine. They are the most amazing fish. Poindexter would let me pet him, and even eat from my hand.
