My fish all of a sudden have started moving slowly and my bala shark started acting crazy and died. Now my beta has started barely moving and I just looked and he is about to die. I checked 2 days ago and everything was fine. i dont know how it would have gone up. What could be wrong? My blue gourami has been acting slow to. I am afraid he is about to die.

I'm not sure what to suggest. I'll copy the pinned article that William wrote, and if you could include this information, it would really help.

1. Water parameters. (ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, PH, temp', Hardness etc)
2. A full description of the fishes symptoms.
3. How often you do water changes and how much.
4. Any chemicals and treatments you add to the water.
5. What tank mates are in the tank.
6. Tank size.
7. Finally Have you recently added any new fish?

Sorry I can't be of more help :(

mrcrabbs - if you can give us that information soon we may be able to help - A 20 percent water change right now wouldn't go amiss.

Sorry about that. I dont have the exact paramters of water but they are normal. Water is a little hard. 29 gallon tank and I did a water change last week. Last week was the last time I added any knew fish and it was my shrimp.

If possible, take a water sample to your lfs to be tested. An accurate measurement of ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate would help us try to figure this out.

Did the shrimp you added last week also die?

Could you give a complete list of fish in the 29G? The shrimp you added may have introduced a disease into the tank, or improper/ poor water conditions may be the cause.

I'm not sure why your fish are acting this way. Please try to get your lfs to measure your water parameters, and let us know the results
