Large females can occur in every type of guppy strain. But they're the minority of those females in an average tank. But if you are able to give an enormous space, they can grow up large as well. Look at some females I have swimming outdoors, just over 3 inches and some almost 4 inches. But sometimes, also male guppies can reach those sizes. Btw, the largest outdoor environment that I have for them is a pool of 6,56ft x 9.84ft x 22ft 11.59in.

I don’t keep them now but the biggest I’ve seen was in the 90s when Singapore sent us two bags of XXXL Super Bestest Biggest Show Quality Guppies, or words to that effect. They were the best they had. The girls were 3-4”. The boys were no more than 2.5” I’d say, but they were fantails and had every colour known to man on them, and a few more.

This was my first FOTM guppy, and he was extremely large, at around 2 inches. However he's no longwe with me.
I currently have a large female a little more than 2 inches
however its so fast i cant get a photo right now

thanks! I'm looking to find another one like him someday... the thick rounded tail was really nice
