Not sure about how drops affect them -- maybe a breeder can help? -- but this post has lots of info on lifespans.

a female that drops every month and then is bred as soon when shes obviously not pregnant will have a shorter lifespan. its always a good idea to give 2 months rest between the end of her several drops and the next impregnation, this gives her time to gain her natural strength again. im sure most mothers would say that they need a rest from giving birth once in a while

Guppies can live up to 3-5 years old.
