Avatar Problems

having some probs changing my avatar, don't know whats going on.

tried uploading the pic direct from my pc, compressed it and stuff but it say's it's too big.

so i've got it uploaded onto photobucket so i can just stick the url in, but when i copy and paste it, it cuts off half of the address so obviously then the link doesn't work. So I've tried manually typing out the address and half way through it won't let me type anymore?! Is there a character limit on the box or something, if so that's a bit of a silly place to put a limit and can you take it off please?!

never had this problem before, know William's made/is making some technical changes to the forum today so wondering if somethings changed it?!

I had this problem too, I was using jpegs and when i tried a gif it worked, when using Jpegs my avator wouldnt change..
