Avast Help!

Hey everyone.

How can I make it so while Avast 4.8 is scanning it doesn't give me the silly messages when it finds a virus, Cause everytime it does this is pauses the scan until I give it a response...

I need it so I can scan while I'm asleep and deal with anything it finds in the morning like with AVG.

Anyone?

Does Avast not work in 'real time' so it blocks viruses before they hit your machine.Thats what it does on my computer.i still do the odd system scan,but its always clean because the 'real time' scanning picks up anything suspect as it happens.Or am i wrong?

No it also has real time scan but for some reason naughty lil virus's do make there way on ever now n again.
I norm use AVG as a scanner only but I was gonna go full Avast.

Just had a quick look.All i can see is this.In Program Settings there is an option for Confirmations.This allows you to enable/disable what messages you get.not sure if thats any help to you.
Otherwise you could try asking on an Avast forum.

i have this problem too.

the thorough scan on my computer with 2 big HD's takes literally hours so it makes sense to run it during the night. If however it finds a virus 5 minutes in, it pauses the whole scan!

JUST DELETE IT!!! what else would i want to do with a virus!?
