well she just got him like a week ago. she noticed that after a few days he started turning white. so I went over to show her how to do a water change and looked at him. he has bitten other parts of his tail, and he is definetly bitting of scales! On the top of him, near the dorasl, and near the bottem fins as well. Is there any way to stop him from doing this? I dont want him to kill him self?
He lives in a 1 gallon bowl. He does have a plastic plant, but its very sorf, and he likes to hide in it, dont know if that has something to do with it?
She said that after the VC he was spunky again and was eating after i gave her some betta bits for him.

u can try takeing out the plant if u think it'll make a differance but i dont think its the problem. i would just have ur aunt treat him with melafix to prevent rot. i dont think theres much u can do to make him stop. maybe feed him and find him something else to do, maybe a mirror or amother betta
