for all that doesnt know, my tank is a barb tank. Mostly tigers.

Anyways, I added 6 green barbs today and they are constantly being attacked by the tigers who are so much smaller. They are normally so peacefull towards each other, never see any aggression but Wow they are really mauling the green barbs

Anyone help me on this

probably just new fish in 'their' tank, so-to-speak

you should find that in around 3 or 4 days they will be all shoaling together happily. (you may need to treat with melafix or similar if any fins are badly nipped)

i have had tiger barbs and they're stressy little things. Yeah they do attack the other fish if in a shoal so maybe try moving a couple into another tank with larger fish in it. If they are in less of a shoal they should be less aggresive. Or if you don't want the kerfuffle of messing around moving fish then maybe add some larger fish into your tank, something like angel fish or well i don't have much experience on these fish but something bigger and slightly aggressive so the tiger barbs want their own way they'll have it off the angelfish

Actually in most cases the larger the shoal the less aggressive they are, you will find if you keep low numbers they are much more skittish and more inclined to nip at other fish.

In this instance the old fish aren't yet used to a new shoal of fish in their tank and are showing their aggression, which is perfectly normal behaviour shown by any territorial fish, when new fish are added to the tank.

How many tigers do you have SLZ?

Got 17 all together now. BTT

In that case, I'm with Davo86 on this. Give them a couple of days and they should settle down.

Make sure they have plenty hiding places meantime.
