Lovely....lovely......lovely!!!

What are the requirements of the Rainbow fish species Do they need anything unique or special to suit them? What are their temperment like and of what species are they??

Sorry for all the questions it's just that for ONCE my hubby is actually interested in a fish and it happens to be the rainbow!!!!

silver. the ones i have seem to be very well mannered, i keep them in my 4ft community , they can grow i believe to 4 inches , they are in with gouramis , molly and tetras and others and live happily together.they 'proper'name is melantaenia splendida australis ...worth looking up on google or suchlike for more info....[sorry i dont know how to post links yet] .thanks for the complements , they are mypride and joy.....pebbs
