i found this critter in our filter tonight when we were cleaning the tank
what is it? is it a dragon fly larva?
the piccy is as good as we could get with our camera
the bug thingy is about an inch long
is it bad for my fish?
how do i make sure i dont get anymore?

you should do a google search, try dragonfly larvae if its different then thats one bad thing out of the way because im pretty sure that dragonfly larvae are dangerous to fish

It's body looks too long to be a dragonfly larvae It may be a mayfly larvae.
Either way unless you have a large fish that can eat it, get rid of it asap.
