Assassin Snail Question

Oh good. it would be in my room. I have a 2 gallon tank and have considered putting snails in there. but the tank is an octagon so there isn't much room for a filter and a heater. Thanks for the help!! :good:

Assassin snails are sensitive to poor water quality and need other snails to eat. Your tank isn't really suited to them.

I would consider keeping MTS or any other snail normally considered as pests, they can still look good but are more likely to thrive in the tank than the assassins.

That's good to know. If I decide to have any then they will go in my big tank. Which has plenty of pest snails for them to munch on. :)

They don't eat many so if you just drop one snail per assassin from the pest tank into the assassin tank every 2 days then they will be happily fed. If you notice the snails still hiding for a couple of days and don't want them to become established don't add any more for a while and let the assassins deal with it. They can also be fed on catfish pellets as they will starve without other snails to consume.
