I have a ASM G-1 Protein Skimmer and I am not sure if I need an airstone to make it work. It didn't come with one so I am assuming that it dosn't need it. However, someone told me that it does. Is this true?
Nope, all ASM skimmers use a needlewheel pump with a venturi inlet. The powerhead sucks air into its inlet, the needlewheel chops it into fine bubbles and spits it into the reaction chamber.
