Asda sand for the fish to play in

Just been down to Asda and I see that they have 15kg bags of toxic free childrens play sand.
Got myself a bag for use later when I go light from dark in one of my tanks.

Tips on using it alongside with growth promoting underlayer would be welcome

Hi, I use this too, so from experience rinse rinse and more rinse.... it's very dusty. I tried layering but it soon mixes, you may have better luck than I did.
I cant advise with planting too much, however i have successfully grown a few different plant species by just directly burying them in to sand and they have rooted well, providing you dont have digging fish!
Someone may know a little more than myself?
