Arrrgh! :(

my oranda just swallowed my white cloud minnow and spat him back out..dead. im so p***ed off right now and upset. the man at the shop said 'oh they will be fine together' - does this look fine??! the oranda seems to want to swallow everything, the fan tail and black moor are behaving themselves. Do orandas eat other fish or just swallow everything?

might just be your fish i have danios with telescope eye and shubunkin goldfish it all okay the danios are 1 inch to 2 inches my goldfish 4 inches and 5 inches

the black moor and fantail doesnt say anything to them, it's the oranda that wants to eat everything are they normally like this compared to say black moors etc

I'm afraid all goldfish, of all varieties, will eat any fish they can get into their mouths.

oh god. im worried about the other white cloud minnow now. poor fella just lost his mate. those two were brilliant.

Can you not separate him out? It doesn't have to be a proper tank; a large storage box would do, if you steal a bit of media and run a filter in there. Keep him safe while you think what to do anyway...

he's keeping well clear of the oranda, this one was the bigger of the 2 white cloud minnows and he's alot quicker. oranda just bobbling about eating the lettuce ive thrown in there.
