i just got an arrowanna about 4 days ago and i dont think hes been eating pellets or the guppies i put in there. any advice on how to get him eating?

my little 8" silver likes earthworms,river/ghost shrimp, chopped prawns, chopped, mussles, chopped fish, bloodworms live or frozen, crickets, mealworms, hikari carnivore pellets anything i throw in really :good:
what size tank is it in?how big is it?

It may still be settling in. If it isn't eating with 10 days then you need to take action. After that it is in danger of starving itself and you will end with a big investment floating upsidedown in your tank.

I would just give it time and it's natural instincts to eat should take over :good:

as said before what size is it? because baby arowana's tend to be the most skittish things in the world but they cannot resist food even on the first day you buy them and small schoaling fish such as baby convicts or neon tetras help them to fell more secure

Hey! I've had my arrowana for little over a week, mabye 2 weeks max  anyways, it all depends on what the LFS you bought it from was feeding it... Ask them what they fed it, also try crickets like Tommo suggested, my little guy loves em (when I say little I mean 4-6") :D
