Argos Play Sand

At the min iv got sand from my LFS but it contains what looks like bits of shell and bits of black bits, iv washed it and washed it buit still there,

Was going to swap over to argos sand, but does it have any bits in at all?

my sand has little black bits in also...normal, hasnt affected my water

not really...but they may raise your PH a little

mine has a few black bits in, what i assume are little bits of dark stone

Iv got enough sand left over to get to about 1.5" of sand over the cat litter, but not sure about these bits, and aslo as some are sharp and im goin to have cories,

im of to argos 2moz so i might just pick a couple of bags up

I'm thinking of using this argos play sand with my new tank when it finally gets here, I'm assume that it's okay with coldwater and doesn't affect PH or anything?

nope it will no buffer the ph at all

Just be aware that it is very fine so if using external filters you may need to raise your inlet pipe
But it is a very good lucking substrate and very cheap
