Went to 6th form this morning, tank was fine when i checked it, both cleaner shrimp swimming about, all three hermits accounted for, and both snails accounted for.
the 3 hermits and 2 snails went in yesterday, i dont know if this makes a difference but...
came back this evening, i.e. 20 min ago to find that the surface is covered in spots of floating algae? all about 3mm across circular shape. both cleaner shrimp seem happy, i can see ttwo of the hermits, but one of the snails was upside down on the substrate, but has started moving about wen i righted him.
is the algae just came because of the new entries or what? i havent had a chance to test the water yet, as i rely on my weekend job at the LFS for that?
its a 94 litre river reef with 11.6 kg of live rock in there,
V2 protein skimmer
anyways, any ideas?
