Are This Pads Any Good?

Hello i was looking for a base mat for the tank and found this: http/www.magnavore.co.uk/filtration_pads.php has anyone used them in their filters? Are they any good or recomended to use in Fluval FX5 or 305?

Aye, can be used. It's basically cheap pollyfilter. It's chemical filtration that removes heavy metals and organics. Widely used in marine tanks, but is expencive and un-nessisary in FW
