Are These Good Filters And Hoods

I am looking for a good but cheap filter and hood for a 10 gallon ill be getting, are these good?

The fish i will probably be getting are:

1 honey gourami
3 kuhli loaches
4 pygmy corys

The tank will have a sand bottom


I will not order equipment online, i will probably be getting it from Petsmart

Hi. The hood looks ok, but the link for the filter displays a product that isn't a filter. It shows a bio-wheel type of device that is used in conjunction with a filter. So if you haven't got anything else for a filter, that is not what you want.

i would spend the extra money and get a fluescent hood and with that type of hood everytime you want to clean it you have to remove the whole hood instead of just lift the top and you wont have much light and your water will heat up and the light bulbs will create a lot of heat so spend the extra money it will be well worth it and the filters are fine though i like external filters since they dont take up space in the tank but if you have a Wal-mart my friend got some good 20 gallon hoods for 28$ and ten might be a little under 20$ but its your choice
