I wonder if anyone can help with this,

I came home last night and found in my Quaratine tank which has Head and Tail Tetras in to mature the filter that there way what looked like Polystyrene balls flooting on the surface. I take it these are eggs and how do you know if they are fertile or not.

They were floating but now they have sank to the bottom of the tank.

If they are eggs will I know in about 48 hours when they should hacth. Also there is another Head and Tail looking quite plump as well.

How can you sex them, as they all look the same?

Any advise welcome.

Head and Tail Lights scatter small clear sinking eggs which if fertile, will hatch in about 24 hours depending on the temperature. They do not float.

I dont have any apple snails and there is just head and tail tetras is the tank.

I should know in the next day or two.
