Currently I've only 2 tetra fish in the aquarium. One is pink white, the other kind of a dirty white with dark gray vertical stripes.

The pink one seems quite aggressive. I've seen it chasing the other tetra (and other fish when the aquarium was more populous), especially when I'm feeding them.

Is that normal for a tetra? Can they bite each other? Or is this just for show?

Sounds like two black skirt tetras. I wouldn't worry about their behavior, most fish have a pecking order and dominance issues, espcially when feeding. Tetras do best in larger schools, I would add 4 more of the same type you have now, which should spread out any aggression.

i would say there are a couple of more aggressive tetra species, 2 i can think off are serpae and black skirt. as said they will be less aggressive in a larger group.

a picture would help.

Tetra's are naturaly shoaling fish so do best in a school of 6 or more, that way the pecking order is not just between the two you have.

I have 5 black skirts now, planning to get more. They're quite active fish, but don't bother any of the other fish in that tank.

I see. Well, in that case I'll get 4 more tetras this week-end. The tank looks empty as of now.
