Are Pictus Cats Brackish Compatible?

Hello everyone;
I bought a leopard puffer which I was told was freshwater. Upon further research, I discovered the puffer is a brackish fish. I want to keep my pictus, but I have been unable to find information regarding how they fare in brackish water. Does anyone know if pictus catfish can live well in brackish water?

PS. The pictus gets along quite well with the puffer as puffer swims quite slow.

From what I've read, no. The columbian shark looks just like the pictus but without the spots and needs brackish too.

There not brackish....i would either take him back or get another tank
