I have an older Zebra danio, probably close to two years old and a couple new danios. I was givin the older zebra danio as a loner, and after reading that they are a schooling fish, I bought some more. There is a particular danio, a little plumper and bigger than the other new ones I had bought, and the old one and the new one circle each other, and fallow each other around... well mainly the older one fallows the smaller one, but they do a little circle dance... it this some sort of "mating" ritual? I highly doubt if she laid eggs they would survive, being they are in a tank with guppies and platies, although if they laid em in the right spot they might be ok... we have alot of breeding grass and stacked up rocks that the fish cant get into, but a good place to eggs to fall if they were to.
