I have 5 Kuhli loaches and they are acting funny I think, They have started doing this in the last week or so.

The water is fine. They will do this for hours on end, Then they suddenly disappear into the woodwork and plants.

Looks to me as though they are playing around.

Kuhlis usually stay hidden during daytime, and active at night, sundown and feeding time

Mine do that every so often, usually the black ones more than the striped. When they are going crazy check your weather conditions is there a low or high coming through with a significant weather change/ event? Mine usually go a little nuts around the heater, which made we wonder if they where picking up some subtle current coming of the heater. But all the other fish act fine as well as the shrimp, so I put it down to Khuli's being khuli's and weather patterns.

Mine do that too every once in a while. Dunno why, I've never been able to trace the cause. Maybe they're ready to breed or something?

As long as they are happy its all good.

Mine did that when first introduced to the tank but they just come out at night now. I don't think there is a serious problem with yours though as the behaviour is not uncommon.

With the changing weather and the Khuli's reacting to the barometric pressure, you could try inducing a spawning.
Do a water change to simulate new run off rain water entering their home and have either a spawning mop or thick tangle of floating weed at the surface for them to spawn in.
Any eggs should be green and could be raised similarly to raising cory fry. Dried leaves like IAL will come in very handy both for the eggs and any hatchlings
