I got a pair of High fin Sunset Platy's quite a while ago, they are in with my Cherry Shrimp, they have been breeding well , and this is a good strain, as I moved a juvenal male to a nano tank, and he already has a nice high fin, and good color... originally I was thinking about just using the babies, as feeders, but they are higher quality than I expected... I don't think I want them inbreeding so may have to try to sell the babies, before they get to breeding age... thought about buying another pair, and putting the female ( hopefully a little unrelated ), with my nice looking juvenal male, and the new female in my main tank with the original male and female... I believe these are line bred, how do you keep them looking good, I assume they would be like cherry shrimp, and lose color on some.z so culls could be feeders... just my 1st batch didn't have any culls

the reason I titled this way, is these live bearers seem to be more "on going", than a batch of fry, maybe a lot of breeding egg layers turn over new eggs, before the fry are on their own??? with these platy's group size of the babies has been small, but almost continuous... so separating seems to be a weekly process if I were to start.

just let them get on with it they should go through a good few generations without any problem pick out the best that you want to bread back to each other

The first couple of generations shouldn't be a problem when inbreeding takes place...
