are gouramis peaceful fish ???? i heard they are very teritotrail and u cant put males togther.........? bit like bettas

i had dwarf gouramis, they were aggressive so I removed them from the community tank and put them by themselves, and the two males killed each other. In my personal experience, they are aggressive.

Dwarf gouramies can be aggressive if kept in pairs. You would need more than 2 to keep the aggression a bit spread out. In general gouramies are a 1per tank fish.

if there to be kept on there own why do they keep them all togeter in the lfs also last time i tlooked at them they all seemed so laid back slow fish........

I'm a gourami expert take it from me. They can be peaceful if kept with the right type of fish and tank. now tell me what tank,ph, plants you plan on putting in, and fish you will also be putting in. Gouramis sometimes eat algae and are not picky eaters. They like floating Plants. Now the most peaceful Gourami is the powder blue dwarf gourami. It will actually stop almost all fights in the aquarium. but never put two males. always put a ratio of 2/1 1 for males 2 for females. Or you could just get 1 male or female. Anymore questions?

well the plan is not really much i 'm not sur ei might be setting a new tank up for them and i dnt know waht fish will go with them!!!! :/ the plants i wil use will be mostly just coomomn plants...... well i am not sure..........
