I've searched all through this forum and I can't find an answer to my question. Everyone elses questions I've found were all about keeping multiple puffers together. Anyways... I'd like to set up a 5 gallon tank and would like to just keep 1 dwarf puffer but I'm not really sure if they are happy just being by themselves though?? :dunno:

S/he should be perfectly happy alone. Actually they are more personable towards their owners that way.

yep thats true i got one in a 1 gal(not a proper set up i know) but she(maybe a yung male) is very happy in there

That's not fair, please find it another tank. :( You say it's happy, but it won't eat... :/

I have a 5 gal i would like to put one puffer in, hopefully if they are more sociable towards their owners on their own then i could teach it to do tricks :fun:
