hi all
i have given up on trying to look for a large plec for my tank and am now woundering if corys will suit my tank: -

130L
39.5" long
15" high (full hight 16")
and 12" wide

also if they suit my tank what ones do you suggest?????
i am aware of needing atleast 6-8 :)

most corys prefer water thats cooler than the norm. what is the temp of your tank. they prefer clean water ideally with a sandy bottom and lots of hiding places

the size of your tank is fine in my opinion btw

awesome the temp can be ajusted to suit them my water some how is always perfect i dont know what im doing lol what types do you suggest ??

oh yeh my tank atm is 80'f but i can lower it :)

Im not sure really whatever you would like i suppose. i would stick to the more common ones though if i was you. i would turn the temp down to about 75. what fish do you already have? have you considered otto's or buldog plec?

had bad exp with balldog plecs ive got ottos in my other tank

but the tank i want these guys for has

1 male betta
3x african dwarf frogs (soon to leave to a 30L with another male betta)
1x fire eel who is also leaving due to being decived by the pet shop :(
2x khuli loaches
1x freshwater clam

and thats it :)

mmm yeh thats an option while i have you guys do whiptail plecos like to be in groups?? or on their lonesum???

i would add more kuhlis, the more the merrier. also they appreciate higher temps like your better does. i would turn the temp down.

groups but they do squabble a bit in my experiances

sorry i meant to say i wouldnt turn it down. it might be just me but i would say your tank is a bit smaal for whiptails
