Hello,
Does anyone know if birch twigs are OK/not OK to put in an aquarium?
Thanks,
Mark

Yes, provided the branches have dried thoroughly by being separated from the tree for as long as this takes. A green branch will bend and not snap break, don't use it; a dead dry will snap and be brown and dry inside. Wash it off under the tap.

Thanks. I have been collecting dry, dead branches that have fallen from my tree and was wondering.

You need dry branches, but also to remove the bark is best. I've used them.

Thanks everyone! I'm talking about the very thin twigs, not the thicker branches. I have a lot of dead ones on the lawn and they are interesting looking.
