Arcadia Ultra Seal 2x39w T5 Controller

Does anyone have any experience of using these:

Thinking about a similar controller by hagen (glo t5 twin 39w) but the end caps look more secure on this one.

If anyone has this, do you know what the total length of the set up is, that is tubes and endcaps together? Or even better whether it would fit into a jewel vision 180?

I've got the T8 2 and 1x15W version. Build quality is excellent, the end caps are nice and water tight (though no more secure than anything else, you can still end up pulling the bulb out if you try ). I was sufficiently impressed with my single starter unit that I automatically went to buy the dual version when I wanted an upgrade.

If you go to the arcadia website they probably have specs like overall length etc.

When I set my tank up, I was unsure about which of these 2 to go for. See here.

In the end I went for the Hagen controller for 2 reasons. I have a great condensation lid build into my tank, so didn't need the extra sealing the Arcadia offered. Plus, after exhaustive searching, I also found the Hagen for sale here for under £30 delivered.

I'll measure the total length including caps tonight but I'm pretty certain it's just under 36".

If you haven't got them already, I really reccomend these guys for tubes, they are really cheap but are the real deal. This site [you may need to register] shows different tubes together so you can achieve the colour contrast you are after.

I measured and the total length of the Hagen Glo T5 39w tubes + endcaps is 34 3/4" - however the Hagen reflectors are much longer than this and I had to trim them to length to fit in my tank hood.
