Hi, I've just been doing a bit of modification work on the hood that goes on my 5ft tank and have had to remove the lighting for the first time since installing it a couple of months ago. But what has surprised me is that two of the ring seals that go at each end of the tubes to make the connections watertight cannot be re-used. The rubber part that forms the seal itself has partially disintegrated on both. I can only think that it must be down to the heat from the lamps, because it certainly isn't age!
Does anyone know if it's possible to buy these parts separately? I've googled around but can only see the whole and cap assembly complete with cabling. I can see that Juwel sell their version of these caps separately, but guess their thread pattern would be different.
